The heart of Folkestone was once a very successful area for local business......sadly
no more with the main street taken over, as in many small towns by corporate
concerns of mega companies, turning our traders into shop assistants. It
also struck me while studying these that things looked somewhat nicer then than they
do now, Tontine Street actually looks like somewhere
you could safely go, even at night!
